A Man in Distress

It is a bright, crisp February morning in Baker Street. The snow from yesterday still lies deep upon the ground. From the window, you watch a man running frantically toward your door. He is well-dressed but behaving erratically, writhing his hands and puffing with exhaustion.

"He is coming to consult me professionally," you observe to Watson. "I recognize the symptoms."

Moments later, the man bursts into your room. He is Alexander Holder, a senior partner at the second largest private bank in London. He collapses into a chair, beating his head with his hands.

"I have lost my honour, my gems, and my son in one night!" he cries.

How do you respond?
