The lists are packed. Thousands of eyes watch from the grandstands—kings, queens, and the massed chivalry of England. You stand alone in the center of the arena, wearing comfortable flesh-colored tights and blue silk puffings.
At the far end, Sir Sagramor le Desirous sits atop his warhorse, a tower of iron and malice. Merlin has cast a veil of invisibility over him—or so they believe. To you, he is perfectly visible. The bugle sounds. Sagramor lowers his lance and charges, thundering toward you like a locomotive.
This is not just a fight for your life; it is a battle between the Magic of Fol-de-rol and the Magic of Science.
