The Governor's Fall

You are Sancho Panza. You have just resigned from being the governor of an island because it was too much work! You are riding your donkey, Dapple, back to find your master, Don Quixote.
It is night, and you are tired. Suddenly, you and Dapple fall into a deep, dark pit among some old ruins! You are stuck. In the morning, you hear a voice shouting from above.
"Who is below there? Who is complaining?"
It is Don Quixote! He thinks you are a soul in purgatory.
