The Night of Despair

You sit in your high-arched, narrow Gothic chamber. It is late. The moonlight struggles through the painted panes, illuminating the dust of decades. You are Heinrich Faust, and you have studied Philosophy, Law, Medicine, and Theology. You have mastered them all, yet you stand here, a fool no wiser than before.

Your life feels like a prison. The shelves are crammed with worm-eaten books and ancestral lumber. You yearn for the open air, for nature, for real knowledge that cuts to the bone of existence. A flask of poison gleams on the shelf—a tempting exit from this drudgery. But near it lies the mysterious book of Nostradamus.

Two paths lie before you in the silence of the night. Will you seek the ultimate release of death, or dare to unlock the secrets of the spirit world?
