The Camp in the Rain

It has been raining for a whole month on the great camp at Rawal Pindi. Thirty thousand men and thousands of camels, elephants, and horses are gathered here for the Grand Review.
The mud is deep, and the night is dark. Suddenly, a man pops his head into your tent and shouts, "Get out, quick! They're coming!"
Before you can ask who "they" are, a stampeding camel blunders right into your tent! The pole snaps, and the wet canvas collapses on top of you. You scramble out into the slush, wearing your boots and waterproof coat. Your little dog, Vixen, has disappeared into the darkness.
