The Poisoned Medicine

The underground home is silent. Too silent. Peter Pan wakes up on the great bed, expecting to hear the laughter of the Lost Boys or Wendy's gentle voice. Instead, the room is empty. They have been taken!

Peter leaps up, his heart pounding. On a ledge nearby sits his medicine cup. Wendy always made him take it. To vex her—because he thinks she is just being silly—he reaches out to drink it.

Suddenly, a tiny ball of golden light zooms between his lips and the cup. It is Tinker Bell! She drains the cup to the dregs before Peter can stop her.

"Why, Tink, how dare you drink my medicine?" Peter asks.

"It was poisoned, Peter," she whispers softly, her light already beginning to fade. "Hook poisoned it. And now... I think I am going to be dead."
