The Friar's Cell

You are Juliet. Your heart beats like a trapped bird. Your husband, Romeo, has been banished to Mantua for killing your cousin Tybalt. To make matters worse, your father has ordered you to marry Count Paris this very Thursday—only days away!
You have fled to Friar Lawrence’s cell under the guise of confession. As you enter, you find Paris actually there, discussing the wedding arrangements. He greets you as his "wife."
After an awkward exchange, Paris leaves you alone with the Friar. You turn to the holy man, desperation in your eyes. You show him a dagger you have hidden in your folds.
"Tell me not, Friar, that thou hear’st of this," you cry, "Unless thou tell me how I may prevent it!"
