The Treasure Hunt Begins

The terror of the murder trial has faded, and Tom Sawyer feels the itch for adventure again. It is summer, the air is hot, and there is only one thing a rightly-constructed boy wants to do: dig for hidden treasure.
Tom finds Huckleberry Finn, and they discuss strategy. "Where'll we dig?" asks Huck.
"Oh, most anywhere," Tom replies. "Robbers hide it in mighty particular places. Sometimes on islands, sometimes in rotten chests under the end of a limb of an old dead tree... but mostly under the floor in haunted houses."
They have a crippled pick and a shovel. They must choose where to start their quest for gold and diamonds.
